You don’t need to be a committed American Football fan in order to enjoy and celebrate living in a Super Bowl City. From street lights to every single Walgreens you see every two blocks you walk past, the excitement is hard not to notice. But as our elders say, every good thing comes with a price. Here’s our price for being a commuter or resident of the Bay Area:
Seeing humor in things is most of the times a good habit, however, don’t let these fun moments distract you from snapping on that safety belt of yours. Our suggestion is for you to try and use public transportation to save yourself some stress and time. And be safe.
It’s also worth mentioning that there are several reroutings for Muni lines. SFMTA published a public statement in mid-January regarding these reroutings. Click here if you would like to read the full statement and see below for the rerouting map.
The month of February
February symbolizes many different things for every single one us. For some of you, it’s the time of the year for short month jokes while for others, it’s like that first morning alarm you always end up cancelling until the very last minute–reminding you the roses you need to buy for your significant other.
Yup, you guessed it! Valentine’s Day. It’s right around the corner. Here’s our plan to celebrate Valentine’s Day:
DJ Mondee B. is working on a good setlist for you. He said you wouldn’t want to miss this one. (Not his exact words.)
For those who have seen Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, I personally feel exactly like Joel. We’re a very diverse community and most of us value different things. But when it comes to the people we value and love, we all feel similar. Don’t make your loved ones feel special by buying them gifts on just a holiday, make them feel special everyday. They deserve it.
Speaking of diversity… Our community is very appreciative of its diverse community, and February is the month of diversity, here at Golden Gate University!
Make sure to check back in to learn more about Diversity Month on Sunday’s post.
With that being said, we’re wrapping our second post up. If you haven’t read the first post yet, please do so here and don’t forget to submit your conceptual day–hashtag–ideas by January 30th to win a Golden Gate University t-shirt.
