Hikers Gonna Hike

Hike 1

Our fellow staff members at Student Life department finally had the chance to proceed with the Glen Park Canyon Hike last Saturday. We unfortunately could not make it to the hike; however, we’re happy to see that some of you did!

Hike 2

Peter DeHaas from Disability Resources & Accommodations was nice enough to take some photos during the hike and let me share them with you. Thank you Peter!

We have a good amount of events that we would like to share with you this week. For the sake of keeping this week’s #SocialWednesday post as brief as possible, we won’t be featuring a student club. If you would like to read about student clubs, click here and pick a post and learn about the student clubs we have featured in the earlier weeks.

Before we move on with this week’s eventful #SocialWednesday, we would like to remind you of the important—and fun—questionnaire we implemented to last week’s #SocialWednesday post. Please contribute below, and enjoy the rest of the post!

Events to keep an eye on

On Thursday, May 19th, our Graduate Advising Office will be kicking off their “US Employment for F-1 Students” series. Graduate Advising Office is aiming to assist the international students of GGU with their job search and future plans. If you are an international student and planning to find an employment within the United States after you graduate from Golden Gate University, make sure to attend to these!

There are three upcoming events and you can see the details for each one of them in the image above.

Online Networking Event (5.20.16)

Office of Career Planning’s Online Career Meetup is on May 20th. If you’re looking to take advantage of every chance you get at expanding your network, you might be interested in this! Grab your lunch, and expand your network over the internet!

You can follow this link to register for the event.

Memorial Day is right around the corner. GGU’s Veterans Club is going to be hosting a BBQ event in cooperation with GGU’s Law Association Veterans Club in the Student Lounge on Tuesday, May 24th.

IRC 24

Investment Research Club is going to be hosting a networking seminar next Tuesday, May 24th. An equity analyst from Dodge & Cox will be joining their event to share some insight regarding how the professionals research and pick their investments. They will be providing “Brain Food” to their guests. Wondering what Brain Food is? Well, you’ll need to go attend to the event to find out.

Shhhh… it’s pizza.

Interview Strategies Summer

And last but not least, Interview Strategies is back! If you’re looking to improve the efficiency of your interviews, you will definitely want to attend to this workshop on May 25th. Refer to the image above for further details.
