We would like to start off this week’s post by sending our thoughts and love out to every single victim of the worst mass shooting in modern US history that took place in Orlando, Florida on June 12th.
It breaks my heart to wake up to a day where hate dominates love, and discrimination shatters the unity among humanity. Like John Lennon once said, “We live in a world where we have to hide to make love, while violence is practiced in broad daylight.”
This most recent violent act is unfortunately not the only event that is deeply saddening for everyone around the world; however, I would like to take this time to remind you of our most precious value of all: love. I kindly ask all of our readers to remind people around you that they belong and make sure that they know they are loved. There’s already more than enough darkness surrounding us. Let’s stop painting it black. Let’s paint it with color.

Our dear friends at the L.O.V.E. Club are going to be sending out a thousand origami cranes to Orlando as a show of our love and support as GGU community. Students, faculty staff and even guests have been helping them out in the making of these tokens of peace. Go visit their table at the HUB tomorrow; next Tuesday, or Thursday anytime from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM to help them out with their beautiful act of support. Today, we’re happy to announce Golden Gate University’s brand new student club, GGU Sports Club! GGU Sports Club is planning to organize social gatherings, sports activities as well as tournaments to keep your life active during your time on campus. Here’s what the club’s president, Arjun Panchal has to deliver to us:
