Did Someone Say Party?

We have heard that some of you are craving for a good party. And at GGU Social, we know how to party! In this week’s #SocialWednesday, we’re excited to finally be able to reveal the dates and details of our two upcoming events!

We know you like to mark your calendars, so here’s what the schedule looks like:

GGU Social Summer Party | August 4th, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM | P Level, Student Lounge

GGU Social Welcome Party | September 8th, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM | P Level, Student Lounge

GGU Social Summer Party is our very first official social hangout event! With this basement-style party, we’re hoping to bring our readers, the students and faculty staff of Golden Gate University together down in the Student Lounge for a fun evening.

We are going to have some tasty snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages ready for you to come and join us in enjoying the juicy setlist of our beloved DJ Mondee B.

During the event, we will talk about our plans for gaming tournaments along with the results of the questionnaire that some of you have already participated (please take the questionnaire below if you haven’t already), and we’re going to reveal our biggest contest yet. The contest will kick off right after the exclusive announcement is made and it will have 4 parts that you will need to participate in throughout the month of August! If you’re looking to get a head start in the contest, you will not want to miss this chance!

The contest will end on the day of our sequel event, GGU Social Welcome Party, which will take place on September 8th. The winner will be chosen and rewarded during the event on September 8th!

Exciting, right?! We are hoping to see all of you on August 4th!

GGU Social presents…

GGU Social Club WITS

This week’s featured club is Golden Gate University’s Wing of IT Students (WITS). Here’s how their description reads:

“Wing of ITS Students is a club of IT Management and Project Management students. It is a platform for new, prospective as well as current students to connect to the Alumni and Industry Professionals.

WITS will provide an opportunity to current IT and Project Management students to meet with the industry professionals by organizing industry talks and meet ups. This will also ensure the learning and value addition among its members.

WITS will also serve as a perfect platform for the new IT and Project Management students who are wishing to enroll in Golden Gate University to find answers to their inquiries and concerns related to the IT and Project Management programs offered at our university.”

Wing of IT Students has an active Facebook group that you can join by clicking here. You can contact the president of the club at rshete@umail.ggu.edu with any questions you may have regarding the club.

Events to keep an eye on

LinkedIn Lab DS

Whether you like it or not, LinkedIn has become a part of today’s business life. The Office of Career Planning will be hosting a LinkedIn Lab workshop on July 13th, and we are certain that some of our readers will be able to benefit from this workshop with any questions they may have.

Internship Success Panel DS

The Office of Career Planning’s biggest event for this term, Internship Success Panel, will take place on campus on July 21st. While the day of the event is two weeks away, we still wanted to give you a heads up. We will share more details about this event with you next week.
