Golden Gate University’s Office of Student Affairs just released their brand new mini-documentary on YouTube! We are extremely excited to finally be able to share this with you, not only because it’s awesome, but also because the video was produced by our editor and publisher, Tarik Asan.
We believe that the video did a great job at capturing the sensation of the student life at Golden Gate University. In last week’s #SocialWednesday, we talked about the Magazine of Golden Gate University and mentioned their “Best of Neighborhood” survey that they are using to learn what your favorite spots in the neighborhood are for their article. We invite our readers to participate in their survey and contribute to the community in picking the best spots in the neighborhood!

Office of Career Planning’s in-person Drop-In Hours are on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for the Fall ’16 Term. If you are looking to get your resume and cover letter reviewed or simply looking to acquire some resources and tools that will assist you in your career or job search, you can stop by the Business Library anytime between 4:30 – 6:30PM on their drop-in days. These sessions do not require students to sign up for the events in advance. If you have any questions regarding the office’s Drop-In Hours or the services they have to offer, you can contact them at email@example.com with your inquiries.
Events to keep an eye on
The 4th annual Women In Leadership returns on October 27th and it is sold out. You can either get on the waiting list here or stream it live starting at 6PM tomorrow by clicking here. The panel will feature GGU alumnae discussing strategies for a successful career. The attending alumnae are:

November is almost here, which means Office of Career Planning’s next Career Meetup is right around the corner! November’s Career meetup will be finance focused and it will take place in Room 6210 next Tuesday, November 1st.
Our friends at SGA are asking for the heartful members of our community to join them in a volunteering opportunity to “Spread Smiles” at California Pacific Medical Center. There are limited spots available, so if you’re interested in this opportunity, make sure to RSVP to Mohammed, the Vice President of Community Involvement at firstname.lastname@example.org or (415)786-4369, and feel free to ask him any questions you might have.
The office will have a very useful workshop for those who are interested in utilizing LinkedIn and in the process of updating their profiles. The workshop will take place in Room 4212 the next day, on November 2, 5:00 – 6:00PM.
