Mark Your Calendars for Lands End Hike!

If you haven’t had a chance to read last week’s #SocialWednesday featuring our Diwali celebration, you missed out on the date announcement of our very first hike!

On Sunday, November 27th at 11:00AM, we will meet at Eagles Point and hike our way over to Sutro Baths. This guided hike will be approximately 2 miles long where we will throw in a couple of fun stories about the spots we will be stopping by on the trail. If you haven’t been to Lands End before, make sure to bring some form of a camera with you, because there will be some good amount of beautiful views to capture!

Mark your calendars for the hike and let all of your friends and colleagues know!

GGU Sports Club is holding their second tournament on Tuesday, November 22nd. If you are a competent table tennis player, this could be your time to shine! The club is encouraging people of all levels to participate and inviting everyone to come and have fun at the event. There will be a grand prize of $50 and runner-up prize of $25 rewarded at the end of tournament.

Registrations for the tournament are free and will be open until November 21st! You can register for the tournament by clicking here.


Spring ’17 Term registrations are now open! Make sure to plan your course schedule and register for your courses as soon as possible.


The bookshelf down in the Student Lounge still has some free books for students to claim. We ask our readers to be mindful and claim them only if you are really interested in or in need of them.

The last time we featured an update from GGU Psychology Association, we told you that they have a lot up their sleeves. Their next event featuring three guest professors will take place in Room 5210 on Thursday, November 17th! Students from all majors are invited.

If you would like to expand your network and share your career goals and experiences, Office of Career Planning’s monthly Online Networking Event is this Friday! The hour long online session starts at 12:00PM. You can click here to register for the event.




The next talk of 5th Annual Braden Leadership Speaker Series “If It Ain’t Broke… BREAK IT! Riding the Wave of Change” featuring a NY Times bestselling author Dr. Robert J. Kriegel will take place on Tuesday, November 22nd. You can participate in the event either in person or online via livestream. If you would like to learn tips and tricks on stress and mind management, you can stop by Room 4211 on Mondays and Thursdays to benefit from Wellness Resources’ Mind Management Labs. The workshops do not require any RSVPs or commitment.
