March is here, which means that it’s almost time to Elevate!
For those who don’t know, our friends at the Office of Career Planning host their annual event, ELEVATE your career, every March. This year’s ELEVATE your career will take place on March 10th, and all Golden Gate University students and alumni are invited to attend. If you have been waiting for a big chance to expand your network beyond GGU Community, this is a great opportunity that you should not miss out on!
In this major event, you will be provided with an opportunity to:
- Learn how professional development opportunities can elevate and enhance their careers
- Connect with opportunities and organizations that support their personal and professional goals
- Discover the various levels and ways in which they can engage with the community
- Find practical learning experiences for skill development outside the classroom.
In addition, there will be a professional photographer who will take professional head shots, and LinkedIn coaches who will assist students build a better profile on LinkedIn!

Our friends at SGA opened up their annual survey to gather feedback from the students regarding the services they provide. The team will give away an Apple watch and two Fitbits this year; if you contribute in the survey today, you will get a chance to win one of the three prizes! You click the hyperlink below to complete the survey.
Events to keep an eye on
Office of Career Planning will host their monthly Career Meetup on March 7th! If you would like to expand your network, make sure to mark your calendars for this event. Guest professionals from SmartBiz who are currently recruiting will be attending the event to meet and network with our students.
The Graduate Advising Office will be hosting the last addition of their Working in the US Series next week! The OPT/CPT Info Session will take place on March 8th, covering the details of off-campus employment for international students.
If you would like to learn tips and tricks on stress and mind management, you can stop by Room 5206 on Mondays and Thursdays to benefit from Mind Management Labs. These workshops do not require any RSVPs or commitment.
The department is also offering free guided meditation to all students every Thursday in Room 4208, from 5:30 to 6:30PM throughout the entire Spring Term. Stop by, reduce your stress and increase your peace.
*The event is a drop-in, and you can attend all or just part of the meditation.
