It’s an exciting week at GGU Social this week. To share this excitement, we would like to start today’s post off by thanking all of our readers who signed up for the waitlist of our upcoming Alcatraz Trip! The trip will take place on Saturday, April 1st (and no, it’s not a joke).
We will be contacting all of our students who signed up for our waitlist tonight and provide them with instructions on how to guarantee your spot for the trip. If you have signed up for the waitlist, don’t forget to check your e-mails before you go to bed tonight!
Please be reminded that you will need to pay $10 to guarantee your spot and there are only limited spots available.
Here’s the agenda of Alcatraz Trip:
- We will meet at Pier 33 at 3:00PM to collect our tickets from the ticket booth
- Our cruise is scheduled to depart Pier 33 at 3:20PM. Expect the tour to last at least 2.5 hours
Couple of tips:
- Feel free to bring your backpack, but avoid carrying big bags
- The roads and walkways on Alcatraz are steep. The distance from the dock to the cell house is approximately 1/4 miles
- Check the weather forecast and dress up appropriately
- Service animals are allowed on Alcatraz Island
- For those who are not able–or don’t want–to walk the roads, Alcatraz Cruises offers an accessible shuttle to accommodate you. Visit this link to learn more.
If you have any questions about the trip, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We are looking forward to meet you at Pier 33 on Saturday!
