Have you heard about mindfulness? What do you know about it? Mindfulness

         Mindfulness is a word derived from Buddhism “Sati” that means awareness, attention in Pali language. Other than that, Mindfulness is an ancient technique rooted in Buddhism that aims to maintain a non-judgmental state of complete awareness of one’s thoughts, emotions, or experiences on a moment-to-moment basis.

Why is this important for us a GGU students?

        Mindfulness has shown to be beneficial for students by decreasing reactivity, 1395302.largeincreasing curiosity and affecting tolerance, improving patience and self-acceptance, and enhancing relational qualities (Solhaug, Eriksen, de Vibe, Haavind, Friborg, Sørlie, & Rosenvinge, 2016).
