Welcome and Welcome Back

Hello everyone,

A warm welcome to all our new students this semester and of course welcome back to our continuing students. This is certainly an interesting time for everyone at GGU, California, the US and even the world. Amidst a global pandemic with travel restrictions, powerful movements across America and unpredictable climate change. I hope that we are all healthy, staying safe and most of all staying positive through these testing times. At GGU, we truly believe in the strength and drive of our community to get through all of these challenges together. Especially during these uncertain times, I have found that leaning on each other and reaching out to other GGU community members can give us that extra needed boost!

One way to boost our moral is to stay up-to-date and interact through the awesome events hosted by our Student Government Association. As many of you may know, elections are up and running for the 2020-2021 SGA team. If you haven’t met our candidates yet or voted, please check them out here. This is a great opportunity to vote for the candidates you think would have the greatest impact on your experience here at GGU!  Voting closes on September 23rd. But wait, there’s more! The current SGA team is hosting one more event before they hand over the reins to the new team. Here is a quick message from the SGA team:

Dear New and Returning Students,

The Student Government Association (SGA) is kicking-off the fall trimester with a virtual event filled with networking and fun activities. You will get a chance to meet the current SGA and the new SGA Team, your representatives for the 2020-2021 academic year. The event will be on Thursday, September 24, at 6 pm on Zoom.
